Sandstone table lamp made by the french artist Albert Tormos.
Rectangular shaped with soft angles and edges, this abstract work from Tormos could show a woman/nun figure.
Albert Tormos is a French sculptor painter and poet, known for his lamps and objects made of carved sandstone. At the end of the 1960’s through the 1970’s, he began creating lamps and other decorative objects in his workshop in Saint Tropez, soon his works became highly sought after by collectors. His figures are inspired by the outlines of nature and wildlife creatures, such as owls, one of his most recurrent motifs.
