Elegant sophistication at its finest, we present this exceptionally rare pair of early 19th century fine quality French Empire Period candlestick lamps. The original antique table lamps complete, with clear and frosted glass lotus hurricane shades, patinated gilt bronze leaf decorative accents, inner spring-loaded brass column candle tubes, within white opaline glass stems, resting on beautifully patinated brass and iron circular base. circa 1810; France PROVENANCE / ACQUISITION Property from the Collection of Pat and Michael York Acquired from highly reputable auction house, Heritage Auctions, Dallas, Texas. Fine & Decorative Arts Showcase Auction, catalog #13191 DIMENSIONS: (approx) 19" High, 8.5" Diameter (shades), 6" Diameter (base) Condition: A superb example, museum exhibition quality. Both in excellent original unrestored antique condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Detailed Condition Report: Highly desirable patina over the whole, including old candle residue to the foot. Retaining original antique character throughout, including minor fleabites to underside rims, rubbing to frosting of shades, age appropriate pitting, splitting, and oxidation of brass bases. Adjustable height but slight irregularities due to one lamps fittings being frozen. Overall, a truly remarkable pair, sure to add a touch of sophisticated elegance, romantic warmth, historical depth, and classic Parisian refinement to any space
