Becoming a Nation, Americana from the Diplomatic Reception Rooms U.S. Department of State. First edition hardcover with dust jacket. New York: Rizzoli, 2003. 232 pp. An exhibition catalogue on American works of art and cultural artifacts from the Diplomatic Reception Rooms from the United States Department of State in Washington D.C. The works were built during our nation's formative years from 1730 to 1840 the years preceding and following the American Revolution in which the country came together from a loose group of colonies into a new nation. The exhibition toured from April 2003 until November 2005.
