Antique metamorphic mahogany library chair, English Regency circa 1810, after a patented design by Morgan and Sanders, Catherine St, London - a chair that converts into library steps.
They were first built in the mid-18th century for the private libraries and offices of the European nobility or the Bourgeoisie.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor structural damages. The chair is not restored and has traces of age. The two short legs of the ladder seem to have been replaced. One hinge is badly replaced and should be renewed.
