Saporiti leather lounge chairs, Vittorio Introini, Italy, 1965

About the Item

A voluptuous chrome steel frame carrying a cognac leather fleece. Confusingly simple, but how complicated it can be to be simple, because it's about knowing when to stop, not adding too much without missing something... The Italian architect and designer Vittorio Introini didn't hold back and this is the result! Introini has also worked on interior design projects for prestigious brands such as Ferrari, Fiat and Alitalia. He also taught industrial design at the Polytechnic school of Milan. During his career he won numerous awards, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1969 and 1979. His designs have also been exhibited in museums and galleries around the world, including MoMA in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
