Terje Ekström Lounge Chair "Ekstrem" in Red, 1970's

About the Item

Iconic armchair- lounge chair designed by Terje Ekström and manufactured by Stokke in 1970's period, Norway. The chairs are both modern and yet very functional. The design dates from the late 1970s. The colour is mustard yellow and it has been newly reupholstered in its original fabric. The open design enables variable seating positions polyurethane foam softens the lightweight and strong wood frame. It’s distinguished by its design purity and stands out by virtue of its unconventional construction. The sculptural shape makes the chair a real icon and a true ambassador of post modernistic design.
