About the Item
Designer Matteo Cibic’s latest project for Delvis Unlimited is an experimental realisation of a retrofuturistic dream, featuring a collection of solid and lightweight furniture pieces that seamlessly blend prehistoric aesthetics with lightweight materials and technology.
The Wilma bookshelf, from the Paleolite collection, resembles a totem pole that rises in height and acquires a symbolic meaning for both individuals and groups, to which one becomes attached for life.
"A totem pole that rises in height and acquires a symbolic meaning for both individuals and groups, to which one becomes attached for life."
— Matteo Cibic
This piece is crafted from metal and coated with liquid ceramic, giving it a sleek and sophisticated appearance. The rounded shape of Wilma echoes the Cosmos collection, which delves into the world of matter and embarks on a quest to push the boundaries of what is possible.

Delvis Unlimited
In 2021 Stefano Del Vecchio founded Delvis Unlimited, a new furniture-design collection made in one-off or limited-edition pieces, the result of a careful selection of design techniques and solutions, combined with the collaboration with young Italian designers. The collection was born from the continuous research and desire to work on exclusive pieces, using natural materials such as wood, stone, iron combined and in contrast with the artifice of the surfaces’ precious details expertly worked by Italian craftsmen. This is what gives life to a collection as intense as works of art. Unlimited, as is the thought, creativity and genius of man. Delvis Unlimited collection is inspired by the “home of an art collector”: evokes a lifestyle, it tells a story of passion, care and emphasizes the uniqueness of the Delvis approach to the design. Art is part of Stefano Del Vecchio's life, this is what you can "feel" when you enter one of the spaces designed by him. Globetrotter, Art collector, and Designer he has selected and worked with designers by choosing encounters and clashes of the most disparate materials. What started out as an artisan reality, over the years Del Vecchio has evolved into an international brand, preserving its original approach in its DNA: a vision rooted in Italian culture that combines traditional knowledge with sophisticated techniques and meticulous attention to detail.

- Verdoux Storage Bar Cabinet by Matteo CibicBy Matteo Cibic, Scarlet SplendourLocated in Kolkata, INVerdoux Storage Bar Cabinet by Matteo Cibic is an amazing cabinet, with fine leather interiors, designed to hold a full bar. Available in different patterns and colours, with customised sizes upon request. India's handicrafts are as multifarious as its cultures, and as rich as its history. The art of bone and horn inlay is omnipresent here. Artisans from the Northern region of Sarai Tarin, to Bengal in the East, and Trivandrum in the South, have imbibed the ancient technique from Himalayan tribes, and have made their own mark along the way. The intricately crafted combs, vases, toys, and other objets d'art have long been a connoisseur's delight, and a means of livelihood for millions. When the founders of Scarlet Splendour and designer Matteo Cibic went on tour, in search of inspiration for their first collection, they were captivated by the exquisite bone marquetry. They decided to make a contemporary version of the playfully geometric designs, which would be accepted across the world. Cibic then developed a resin compound, and the company carried out trials with the material until they found the right mix. The resin would replicate ivory inlay, on a base of plywood, ultimately smoothened and lacquered to have no visible or tactile end. Each piece of the Vanilla Noir collection would then be made in India, by local craftsmen using locally sourced materials and pigments. The aim was to combine Indian workmanship and Western aesthetic in such a way that each piece appears timeless, and with multiple roots. In the unique decorative imprints one would recognize Indian styles, and also unexpected drifts to Italian design. The company's founders wanted to proudly showcase the fine art and making capabilities of their native India, and give the craftsmen due recognition. They have successfully paid homage to their heritage by elevating indigenous art...Category
