Chinese Antique Style Red Lacquered Liquor Cabinet with Revolving Hidden Panel

About the Item

An American Chinese style red lacquered liquor cabinet from the 21st century, with revolving hidden wine rack. Made in the USA, this contemporary liquor cabinet was designed in an antique Chinese style. The cabinet feature a linear silhouette perfectly complimented by a red lacquer finish. The façade showcases two faux doors fitted with a traditional medallion with teardrop pulls and small key. These doors are in fact a single panel that revolves once a pull at the top is lifted, to reveal a handsome interior showcasing two small red drawers fitted with ring pulls on circular backplates. These drawers sit above a removable rack that can hold up to 13 regular bottles of wine. The lower section is made of an open shelf while the ensemble is flanked with narrow lateral shelves. The cabinet is raised on four bracket feet whose curvy lines balance the general linearity beautifully. With its clean lines and red lacquer, this contemporary Chinese style liquor cabinet will make for an excellent addition to any living room or dining room!

Created in China during the early years of the 20th century, this side cabinet features a rectangular top with central planked boards, sitting above an elegant façade made of two doors. These doors are adorned with carved panels in their upper section, showcasing scrolling furniture on which various vases are displayed. These motifs, carved in low relief, are surrounded by a gilded frame contrasting beautifully with their reddish brown lacquer. The doors, made of slightly raised panels in their lower section, are fitted with ornate brass hardware: the medallion is pierced and etched and supports delicate pulls. These doors open to reveal a lacquered interior with hidden drawers at the top. The cabinet's sides presents recessed panels and the back is simply planked.
