Charles Meeking & Co London Victorian Mirrored Chiffonier Hall Stand

About the Item

Late 19th Century antique ebonised chiffonier cupboard by Charles Meeking & Co. London EC, renown furniture makers of Victorian era. Well made solid mahogany antique furniture in great condition given its age. Featuring a top section of walnut veneer and mirrored panels, rows of shelving with galleried edge, the gallery has carved acorns highlighted in gold foil. Same walnut and mirrored frontal carries through to the mid section with double drawers at the top. Beneath the drawers is a lockable double door cupboard with internal shelvings, then flanked by further shelving compartments to the sides and on the base. The bottom shelf has a small 2cm opening at the back...(most likely for electrical cables, should one chose to use this as an entertainment console)..(see image 2). The top section is detachable from the base making it easier to move. Very decorative and useful piece of furniture. It comes with a set of 2 keys.
