Engliish Hepplewhite Lowboy

About the Item

English Hepplewhite lowboy is of the period with a top that has a beautiful mahogany grain and color. The top edge is inlaid with a band of ebony and boxwood. Below is a single long drawer over two square drawers at each end. The drawers are banded with boxwood and have antique brass oval pulls ( not original ) . The concave arched apron features boxwood inlay and convex inlaid fans in the upper corners. The legs, typical of Hepplewhite style, are nicely tapered.

    Replacements made: Brass hardware is not original. Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. The top only has been refinished. The left hand small drawer back plate has some loss ( see photo ) , the pull function is not affected.
