- Royal Worcester painted and gilded wall pocketBy Royal WorcesterLocated in East Geelong, VICThe back of this oval Royal Worcester porcelain wall pocket portrays a prunus tree climbing up a stone wall with the branches and leaves done in blue and the flowers picked out in gold, and the pocket is formed by a representation of a roughly woven piece of cloth protruding from the wall. This shape (shape 662) was first introduced in 1878 and is described in Worcester's shape book as "Boy bracket, 2 boys or 1 boy or no boys", with this one being the latter, having no applied cherubs. This style of item has also been described as a wall bracket, a wall pocket and a hair tidy. The height is 215 mm (8.5 inches), the width 178 mm (7 inches) and the depth 80 mm (3 1/8th inches).
