Artist: Bernard Lancy (1892 - 1964) Lancy started working as a poster artist, mainly for cinema. He worked from the 1920's until the late 1950's. In 1945 he was named Honorary President of the Syndicat des Affichistes de Cinéma - The Society of Cinema / Movie Poster Artists. He is particularly known for his poster for La Grande Illusion by Jean Renoir (1937) which he produced for the film's release in 1946.
