About the Item
"Blue Synergy" by Robert Glick is a 30" x 24" acrylic on canvas that epitomizes the serene precision of geometric abstraction. This piece interweaves varying shades of blue with thoughtfully placed lines and blocks, creating a harmonious composition that evokes a sense of structured tranquility. The clean intersections and layered rectangles suggest a digital or architectural influence, while the gentle gradients and soft edges introduce an organic contrast. The overarching emotion of the piece is contemplative and calming, inviting the viewer to explore the balance between the man-made and the natural, the planned and the spontaneously formed. Perfect for contemporary art collectors, "Blue Synergy" is a testament to Glick's ability to marry color and form in a way that is both modern and timeless.
About the Artist:
In his Carmel-by-the-Sea studio, Robert Glick loves to explore various styles of painting while employing a variety of refined artistic skills. The art is dynamic, confident, attractive, and thoughtful. The painting styles often span representational, cubist, surreal, and the more experimental, and are created with acrylics and oils. In addition to representation at AAG, Robert’s work has also been exhibited in three of the triennial Schaefer Portrait Challenges at both the Honolulu Museum of Art at First Hawaiian Center and in Maui’s Schaefer International Gallery. Participation in other juried shows includes many Art Maui exhibitions and in the Hui No’eau Arts Center Group Shows. His work is found in private collections in Carmel-by-the-Sea and Redwood City, California; in Phoenix, Arizona; as well as in Wailea, Hawaii.
Robert’s studies in art and design have been at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, the Kootenay School of Art, and the Vancouver School of Art, both in British Columbia, Canada.

As a teenager, he was encouraged to pursue a career as an artist, subsequently creating his first real paintings around the age of 14. After stints at the Art Students League, the Kansas City Art Institute, the San Francisco Art Institute, and the University of California at Berkeley, Landfield’s professional career as a painter began in New York in 1965. The following year, after completing a major series of hard-edge border paintings, success as a painter began to materialize. The famous architect and collector Philip Johnson and the collector Robert Scull each acquired large paintings works, as did the Sheldon Memorial Museum in Lincoln, Nebraska. In 1967, Landfield was invited to participate in the Whitney Annual at the end of the year. His work attracted considerable attention, and he was invited to participate in important group exhibitions at the Bykert, Bianchini, and Park Place Galleries in New York.
