About the Item
This oil painting on canvas straddles the line between narrative and non-narrative. I want it to be familiar but at the same time indistinct, encouraging the viewer to create their own conversation with the painting—to navigate the topography with the tools and history they bring to the art.
I work intuitively pulling from both the external world around me as well as the one hidden inside. These paintings are a blending of those dual-landscapes. My paintings are all very personal, but can also be understood by all. Each painting is meant to be a dialogue with the viewer.
"That Was A Long Way To Go" is 16 inches tall x 20 inches wide. It is painted on canvas with high quality oil paint and stretched over heavy duty stretcher bars. It is not framed. Please contact me if you have any questions at all.

The nonrepresentational drawings gave me the freedom to concentrate on and investigate more thoroughly the process by which I make them. They were largely inspired by woven textile art. The drawings were done on old textile paper, which is lined with a rectangular grid on which the designer would paint the image to be woven. The Grid Paintings...Category
