Joanna Woyda
Joanna Woyda studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She received her honorary degree in 2005. She was also a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture. Woyda’s paintings are mostly self-portraits, painted with pure colors and inspired by the convention of photography. Her paintings are referring to the conventions of photography. The sea is the protagonist of many of her compositions. Simple, cool and minimalistic works are full of emotions hidden in a consistent form. The homogeneous environment is overflowing with sincerity and spontaneity.
