Joseph Sundwall
Spider on the Ceiling, original contemporary figurative landscape of kittens

About the Item

The kittens are mesmerized by a little black something jumping and bouncing around, unsure whether to snuggle with another kitten or stand proud and brave, alone! Well, that spider on the ceiling finally revealed itself and was decidedly out numbered! Despite their quest to conquer the agile beast, these kittens couldn't be more loveable than as depicted in this original contemporary figurative landscape. A veritable study of five kittens by noted professional portrait artist Joseph Sundwall, each kitten displays his own personality as well as physical characteristics! A devotee of the teachings of Yale's Josef Albers' principals of minimalism and elegance in a work of art combined with the importance of negative space, Sundwall is known for his sensitivity in the works he produces, often using intermittent abstractions to fill the voids. A highly regarded professional artist, Sundwall works are in private collections throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and the European continent.

The scent of the fox, the chase, the jumping across the creeks and over downed branches has come to an end for another equestrian hunt shared with the other highly regarded club members. They walk their horses for a while as the horses and hounds cool down and the riders are waiting on brandy to mellow out the day's excitement. With pristine riding gear intact they let their minds wander to both family and club hunts and events of times gone by. Artist Joseph Sundwall...
