“Crush” makes part of AGAPO (meaning “I Love” in Greek) series.
“The series expresses the warmth of intimacy.
It is intentionally exotic. Intimacy is spontaneous and irrational. At its heart, a frisson, a momentary chemistry between people untethered from a conscious need.
Sometimes playful, sometimes erotic. Comic or anguished, in the effervescence of conversation or in blissful silence. It is a primal and irresistible emotion that speaks of love in the abstract.”
“My paintings study life. Life is constructed by emotions of all shades; light, dark and the quiet shadow of their absence. Intricate or simple.
My subjects, the protagonists, express them, alive in their own moment. I aim to express subjects in a universal language that remains timeless and incorruptible."
