A charming Victorian oil, showing a woman in a red travelling cloak, holding a baby in her arms as the child reaches up to her face. The pair are sat at the side of a dusty path on a sunny day,. The painting is unsigned and presented in a handsome Victorian gilt frame with acanthus leaf molding and laurel and berry strap work, finished with a gilt slip. There is a red wax seal at the reverse of the board. On wood panel.
