ED (Edward) RUSCHA (born 1937) 1937 Omaha, Nebraska (American) Title: Brews, 1970 Technique: Original Hand Signed, Dated and Numbered Screen print in Colours on Wove Paper Paper size: 58.4 x 80.8 cm. / 23 x 31.8 in. Image size: 45.8 x 68.5 cm. / 18 x 27 in. Additional Information: This original screenprint in colours is hand signed in pencil “E. Ruscha” at the lower left sheet edge. It is dated “1970” next to the signature. It is also hand numbered in pencil from the edition of 75, at the lower left sheet corner. There were also 15 artist’s proofs aside from the standard edition. It was printed by Lyndon Haywood and published by Editions Alecto, London. The paper bears the inkstamp of the publisher, verso. Note: This standalone screenprint was created contemporaneously with one of Ruscha’s most recognised series ‘News, Mews, Pews, Brews, Stews & Dues’, but in a smaller edition and on a much larger scale.
