This is a stunning porcelain coffee cup from the John Rose Coalport factory, England.
The cup sits on a low foot and is of the London Shape with a spur handle.
The cup is beautifully hand painted, inside and outside, in one of their Imari "Japan" patterns in a deep cobalt blue, brick red and burnt orange, with exquisite hand gilding. The quality of painting is superb particularly to the inside, which is unusual. The base rim and handle also have gilded detail.
