Ralph Dorazio Art
Ralph Dorazio was a modernist sculptor who drew inspiration from the New York City avant-garde scene in the 60s and 70s. He collaborated with modern dance pioneers and composers, designing sets, props, costumes, and instruments for their performances, which served as artworks in their own right. Dorazio was recognized mainly for his consummate craftsmanship and devotion to the organic nature of wood, producing many sculptures within the medium, embodying the music and movement of the time.
