1960s Jean Allen Organza Abstract Maxi Print Dress
About the Item
We love the colour combination on this 1960s Jean Allen maxi dress. The print mixes warm golden highlights together with navy blue accents on cream in a painterly, abstract pattern. The dress has an inverted empire line and scoop neck from which flows a fantastic manmade organza overlay which falls to around ankle length. The dress is lined in a very fine quality acetate and fastens to the rear with the original metal zip. There is a slight sheen to the organza. The bust line and bottom hem of the dress is trimmed in blue satin to coordinate with the blue accents and a long bow to the centre completes the look.
In really superb vintage condition with no faults of any note, this would make a fantastic dress for a summer wedding or soiree. Best fit for a UK 8-10 or US 4-6. Jean Allen was a high end British label manufacturing dresses to be sold in department stores from the 1950s through to the 1970s.
