Vintage Chinese Repouse Framed Copper Panel of a Ceremonial Vignette
About the Item
This vintage framed copper repouse panel appears to be signed by an unknown artist and presumed to have originated from China, dating to approximately 1960 and done in a Chinese Export style. The panel itself is done with a copper sheet with a raised or repouse scene depicting a ceremony. The panel is quite detailed which is accented by a black wash. The panel is framed in a gilt wooden frame with a red banding and a metal hanger at the top with an Asian inspired design. The panel appears that it may be signed on the bottom in Chinese characters.
