Antique British Colonial 1830s Caned Oak Reclining Mechanical Dental Arm Chair
About the Item
Englishman James Snell of London made the first mechanical dental chair with an adjustable seat and back for doctors to examine their patients more efficiently. This exquisite example is made from quartersawn oak with caned back and seat. Adjusts from upright to laying position.
Measures: 26" x 41" x 44.5"h, seat 18.5" to 15", reclined 72"l with resting height of 20"h.
