Early William Moorcroft Pottery Large Vase in Autumn Leaves Pattern, circa 1930
About the Item
This is a very good early example of a large vase made by William Moorcroft, of Moorcroft Pottery in the Autumn Leaves pattern and dating to circa 1930.
The pattern is known as autumn leaves/ leaf but latterly is also known and listed as Berries and Leaves pattern, painted in a free flowing manner in lovely deep colours, characteristic of the earlier pieces.
The piece is fully marked to the base with William Moorcroft's signature mark, together with the impressed marks for the period.
Overall a very beautiful Art Deco period Moorcroft vase.
