Rubin Red Plate Gold Luster Glided Hand Painted Majolica Centerpiece Bowl Deruta
About the Item
The dish, made of majolica painted in duotone of blue and red, features dense decoration, inspired by the Moorish style, throughout its surface. The outer band of the brim is richly embellished with spiral plant ornaments that are repeated in mirror symmetry forming heart motifs, while the inner band is adorned with friezes arranged in rays enclosing refined floral decorations. The touch of elegance, which embellishes the rich decoration, is determined by the gold luster made in the third firing, which gives the plate a high artistic value.
Dimensions: Diameter: 50 cm (19.69 in.)
Colors: Deruta blue, deep red, gold 24kt luster.
Limited Edition of 30 pieces
The beauty of a deBlona majolica is determined by the ancient process, unchanged over time and handmade, which we observe to the letter in the creation of our artworks: painting ceramics is a very complex, fascinating and insidious art, but it is precisely the human and imperfect sign that makes every piece so characteristic and totally unique.
deBlona's essence is represented by the interpretation of the color and by an unrepeatable taste, with which we want to give new chromatic emotions.
Majolica accompanies the history of mankind, telling its existence for centuries: here, in our Atelier, we want to keep on narrating our time.

deBlona
The creation of deBlona brand took place in 2020, triggered by a chance meeting between the entrepreneur Moreno Sagni and the designer Riccardo Mei: their common passion for art and Italian artistic craftsmanship led them to combine energy and skills to take on this challenge.
In a world that runs at overwhelming digital speed, they made a choice against the tide: stopping time, restoring value and prestige to an ancient craft, to an art. Because there are things that cannot be forgotten, even if today they sound so foreign to the new normal, far from the trends that end in a click. So, deBlona changes speed, following the rhythm of another time, that of the masters, and creating in places of quiet and silence. Our brand bets on that tradition that runs through history and continues to lead the chain of gestures of creation, inspired by today’s imagination and flair. Our atelier is the place where research and creation begin: it’s the house of the skilled artists on whom we rely to offer you the most exclusive and precious artifacts. Here, deBlona majolica comes to life, from each artisans’ deep knowledge of materials and techniques, to their experience and craftmanship. Each signature has its own distinctive feature: deBlona’s represented by the uniqueness of the decorations and the interpretation of the color. Majolica accompanies the history of mankind, telling its existence for centuries: here, in our Atelier, we want to keep on narrating our time.

Naturalistic decorations are depicted inside the large cable, arranged in specular and radial symmetry which branches off from a central hexagonal element and articulates around the circumference, forming elegant golden yellow raceme motifs that stand out against a black background.
