This absolutely adorable card tray or pin tray, Vide - Poche, is made of bronze and features in a relief a profile of a mermaid, adorned with a shell and water plants, which is very characteristic of the Art Nouveau style aesthetic. The lady is holding strands of pearls and shells in her hand. A heron and other water plants are depicted in the background of a lake and raising sun. France, circa the 1920s.
Can be used as a beautiful business card holder or a small vanity tray.
Dimensions: width: 13 cm / 5.11 in, length: 19 cm / 7.48 in, depth 1.5 cm / 0.59 in.
In good condition with a slight patina on bronze.
