Black Chinoiserie Mantel Clock, Retailed by Hamilton & Inches, circa 1920
About the Item
A black chinoiserie lacquered clock of small proportions, the rectangular case beautifully decorated in relief with garden scenes in shades of red, brown, green, black and gold highlights, on brass bun feet. The engraved brass dial has silver chapter ring with Roman numerals, signed to the top 'Hamilton & Inches, Edinburgh'.
With an eight day French movement, which is marked 'A1', striking the hours and half hours on a gong.
Hamilton & Inches are a luxury Jeweler and have been trading in Edinburgh since 1866.
Condition: The case is in excellent condition with minor wear commensurate with age. The movement has been serviced by our qualified Horologist.
