Edwardian mahogany mantel clock standing on a raised stepped plinth and resting on four brass ball feet with satinwood line inlay.
Enamel dial with Roman numerals and original ‘blued’ steel hands signed Botley and Lewis, Reading.
Eight day French movement with platform escapement. C.1900
‘Watchmakers and clockmakers of the world’ by Brian Loomes lists Botley and Lewis as working in Reading c.1900.
