19th Century French Life Size Bronzes Holding Dog Head Cornucopias c.1870
About the Item
Antique 19th Century French pair of life-sized bronze, depicting partially nude maidens elevating a torch. These statues, boasting a commanding stature and large presence, are elegantly draped in robes. Atop each figure rests a crown of verdant leaves, adding a touch of natural splendor. The torches themselves take the form of cornucopia, culminating in the likeness of a dog's head. Resting upon detachable white marble bases, these majestic sculptures would have graced the grandeur of a stately hallway or entrance with their imposing beauty.
