About the Item
Bronze sculpture “Harmony”. RANCOULET, Ernest (France, 1870-1915).
It has small flaws.
On a square base, there is a circular shape with a string of pearls and a rocky finish at the top, which serves as support for a young, idealized, semi-naked male figure (note the animal skin), which appears in an attitude dancing, holding aloft a tambourine. Ernest Rancoulet was a French sculptor highly appreciated for his neoclassical style figures and mythological themes, his works reflecting women from high society, others of athletes, etc.
