Signed Sancho Panza Riding his Donkey, Pewter Figurine by Michel Laude, France

About the Item

Figurine of the character of Sancho Panza, who was Don Quixotes companion. Here he is riding is donkey, carrying a basket with cheese, a bottle of wine and sorts over his left arm, a stick in his left hand. His oversized Mexican style hat provides shade in the hot sun. The poor donkey has lowered his back legs due to Sancho Panzas well known sheer weight. Solid pewter figurine, original creation by well known artist Michel Laude, France, around 1970-1980. Artisanal making (attributed to) by Artebouc. The piece is signed.
