Art Deco silver-plated recipe cocktail shaker

About the Item

Art Deco style American recipe cocktail shaker with silver-plated sleeve and gold-plated body, engraved around with the recipes for numerous classic cocktails: Sidecar, Tom Collins, Whisky Sour, Alexander, Bacardi, Between the Sheets, Bronx, Clover Club, Dry Martini, Dubonnet, Gin Rickey, Manhattan, Old Fashioned, Orange Blossom, Palm Beach. By twisting the body, the recipe is revealed. Simple. Art Deco was a popular design style in the 1920s and 1930s characterised especially by sleek geometric or stylised forms. It represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress. For that reason silver cocktail and barware were popular categories of goods to reflect the style of the time.
