1950s Ceramic Vase by Andre Freymond
About the Item
Vibrant blue vase by Swiss artist and potter André Freymond. Mid-sized piece from the late 1950s to early 1960s. Freymond's pieces are often unique, the artists penchant for rarely making two pieces alike, preferring to experiment and develop his technique which, as can be seen in this piece, includes a fat-lava like glaze and bold coloring. The vase is in good vintage condition, with the only blemishes occurring within the glaze during the natural firing process. A signature piece by one of Switzerland's foremost mid-century potters.
