Vintage Art Deco Style Lidded Verdigris Bronze Bowl - Style of Carl Sorensen
About the Item
A vintage art deco style lidded bowl in the style of Carl Sorensen stamped "Made in Italy" on base. The lid finial is in the form of a bronze swan in a defensive stance. The upper and lower portions of the bowl have been etched with concentric circles as had the outer section of the lid. The bowl also shows a section etched with a wave pattern.
The coloration of the bowl and lid exterior is a lovely mixture of a tobacco colored bronze and green verdigris. The inside of both the bowl and lid is in polished bronze.

Kutani Style French Porcelain Lidded Ginger Jars - A PairBy Porcelaine de ParisLocated in Morristown, NJ20th c., a pair of Japanese Kutani style porcelain lidded jars, stamped on Porcelaine de Paris underside of foot. The mark indicates the piece was produced in the 1970's. The jars are decorated in deep orange, tangerine and gold motifs on a white background. Productivity was astonishing, creating one new model every day over 30 years! Around 1830, Jean-Marx Clauss, a German-born potter bought a building at Rue de la Pierre-Levee, where he took over Locre's activity. M. Achille Bloch...Category
