Set of Four 19th Century Swedish Neoclassical Liqueur/ Apertif Glasses
About the Item
This beautiful set of four apéritif/ liqueur glasses were realized in Sweden during the 19th Century. Each glass features sculptural striated curled feet that ascend into an amorphic volumetric gourd shaped body that tapers into a cylindrical neck with a circular bobeche at the top- all in translucent glass. The cup at the top offers gently rounded sides and is inscribed with an "M" monogram in a stylized neoclassical font, replete with circular etched detailing. With their clean modernist lines and beautiful quality, these glasses would be an elegant addition to any table setting regardless of the style of interior. They are in very good vintage condition.
