About the Item
Not quite a matching pair of imperial measures made of pewter in the shape of one handled mug or tankard. These measures are generally graduating in size and each labelled accordingly with makers stamps to top rim, outside body, inside base or base. In the early days, bars and saloons are checked to make sure they are not cheating their customers by providing the right amount of liquor and the measures have valid stamps on them.
