Ardmore Ceramic Crocodile Rider
About the Item
Grandiose, striking, remarkable. This Ardmore Ceramic sable vase is a sophisticated piece sculpted and painted by the great Ardmore duo Sabelo and Jabu. The fine details, the glossy and matte surface, and the dark palette make it a true masterpiece designed to seduce.
The mystical world of Ardmore has seduced collectors around the globe. Each piece is unique, and masterpieces can take several months to complete.
Unsurprisingly, these art pieces are often given as state gifts to visiting leaders and luminaries in South Africa. Queen Elizabeth II was presented with an Ardmore bowl by the President of South Africa, and there was an Ardmore masterpiece in the White House.
Christie's auction house has acknowledged Ardmore's artwork as "modern-day collectibles," Ardmore's impressive artworks took a leap in haute couture with its collaboration with the luxury French fashion house Hermès on a range of scarves and handbags.
These masterpieces are individually made by hand and cannot be replicated. Each piece is one of a kind.
