Fine Newhall Porcelain Plate Hand Painted Pattern 2050, Georgian circa 1820
About the Item
This is a beautiful desert plate by Newhall, dating to the turn of the early 19th century, Georgian period, circa 1820.
The piece is very well potted on a low foot and a moulded basket work border to the cavetto.
The plate is finely hand decorated over-glaze with hand painted pattern 2050, showing a floral pattern having a central rose with a four section geometric border with further hand painted floral cartouches all with additional gold gilt highlighting.
The piece is unmarked to the base as was often the case.
This is a really fine example of an English Georgian Desert Plate with a most beautiful pattern, showing virtually no wear.
