About Desvres: The history of this ceramics factory begins in the 1600s with the arrival of the Boulongne in Desvres and ends in 2003.
During these 4 centuries three families of owners succeeded each other in this factory which did not cease adapting while passing from workshop of potter to manufacture of earthenware. It has gone through Revolutions, wars, economic crises: in the 20th century it was the First World War and the inflation that followed, the crisis of 1929, the Second World War, the oil crisis of 1973. And finally in 2003 it was the opening of the world market that got the better of her.
