About the Item

Beautiful ceramic vase designed by Gunnar Nylund, manufactured by Rörstrand in Sweden during the 1940s. Made from stoneware with hare fur glaze in sand to red ochre color. Gunnar Nylund was artistic director at Rörstrand porcelain company, where he worked from 1931 to 1955. He remain as one of the most influential and prolific Swedish ceramics designer from the Modern era. The vase will mix well with works by ceramicists such as Axel Salto, Carl-Harry Stålhane, Wilhelm Kåge, or Stig Lindberg.
