A set of six, luncheon sized plates, from Copeland & Garrett, Late Spode, circa 1830s.
Copeland and Garrett operated from 1833-1847 in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England.
The pattern is Lily – transfer printed in Green.
A detailed image of a Daylily spray tied with a ribbon takes center stage.
The complex double border is decorated with alternating scrolls and stylized shells.
The printing process is an underglaze, tissue transferred image in green ink on a white earthenware ground.
8.75 inches in Diameter x 1.0 in H
Showing the printed Copeland and Garrett marks, both impressed and printed in the same green as the pattern.
A set of six larger dinner plates may also be available in this pattern, shown together in the last two photos.
Very good antique conditions, with the light expected age wear. Nothing to detract.
