Roger Guérin is a big name in Belgian Art Deco ceramics. Most of his work consists of ball vases and geometric or faceted vases, as well as sculptures. His favorite material is stoneware with a grand feu salt glaze. Guérin's works offer "charm and simplicity" and document the transition from Art Nouveau to Art Deco.
He gained international recognition following his show at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris in 1925. Several of his works were acquired by King Albert or are present in several Belgian, Dutch, Italian and American museums.
