A Mid-Century Modern Era Majolica glazed French faïence master Oyster serving platter, Orchies, circa 1950.
Hand glazed in an ombre olive green on a bright white ground, showing ten scallop shaped oyster wells that follow the rim with an additional four shell shaped wells in the centre.
Marked Orchies Moulin de Loupes with the Windmill backstamp. Also marked, Decor grand feu special lava vaisselle, meaning especially fired to be dishwasher safe.
Measures: 13 in. diameter x .75 in. height.
Excellent vintage condition.
Individual plates in this pattern are available separately to make a full service, as shown in the last photo.
