An exceptional, fine and impressive antique James II sterling silver Trefid Rat Tail pattern spoon; an addition to our silver cutlery collection
This exceptional antique James II sterling silver spoon has been crafted in the Trefid Rat Tail pattern.
The anterior surface of the silver spoon handle terminal is plain and unembellished.
The reverse surface of the Trefid-shaped terminal features a contemporary engraved crest of a cinquefoil pierced.
The reverse of this impressive example of antique flatware features a rat tail to the rounded bowl.
Condition
This antique James II silver Trefid spoon is an excellent gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent condition.
The British hallmarks struck to the reverse of the handle are very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique dining silverware.
