Carlton Ware Art Deco Rouge Royal Lustre Pagoda Pattern Sweet Meat Dish
About the Item
A finely made Art Deco Carlton Ware pottery Rouge Royal Pagoda pattern oval sweet meat dish dating between 1935 and 1955. The dish stands on a narrow oval shaped foot with a wider shallow shaped body with a fluted rim and with a raised molded carrying handle to one end. The dish is decorated in deep rich red lustre glazes with chinoiserie painted designs applied in colored enamels and highlighted with gilding and with gilding applied to the handle and rims. The dish has printed and impressed makers marks to the base.
