An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V sterling silver water/cordial jug; part of our dining silverware collection.
This exceptional, fine and impressive antique sterling silver jug has a plain hexagonal baluster shaped form onto a hexagonal spreading foot.
The body of this impressive sterling silver water jug is embellished with panels of fine bright cut engraved decoration, depicting scrolling foliate motifs.
This impressive example of antique silver is fitted with an angular handle ornamented with a scrolling lower terminal.
The exceptional water/cordial jug retains the original gilt interior.
This magnificent antique silver jug is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire.
Condition
This sterling silver water jug is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The bright cut engraved decoration is crisp and the hallmarks are deeply struck. Full hallmarks struck to the base of the jug are all very clear.
