A magnificent, fine and impressive, comprehensive antique George V English sterling silver Jesmond pattern flatware service for twelve persons - boxed; an addition to our flatware collection
The pieces of this magnificent and comprehensive antique George V English sterling silver cutlery service for twelve persons are crafted in the Jesmond pattern.
The surface of each rounded handle is embellished with scroll and beaded ornamentation and paralleling borders accented with a scalloped shell design to the terminal.

This impressive service benefits from an extensive range of serving pieces, incorporating an exceptional matching silver fish and dessert service.
The fundamental pieces of the basic service were crafted by the Sheffield silversmith Bennett & Heron in 1932.
The stainless steel blades of the original table and dessert knives bear the mark 'Bennett & Heron, Cutlers & Silversmiths, Sheffield' accented with the 'Firth Stainless'.
This impressive canteen of cutlery is fitted to the original, fine and impressive veneered rose wood lift up lid and one draw Art Deco canteen table; this is an impressive piece of furniture in its own right.
The table features an impressive and iconic Art Deco tiered design to the underside and is fitted with brass handles to the drawer.
This exceptional cutlery table is supported by four plain legs.
This exceptional example of antique furniture retains the original fitted fully working locking mechanism and key.
Such comprehensive Art Deco examples are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.

Condition
The Jesmond pattern cutlery service within this antique cutlery canteen table is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. The service has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse surface of each piece are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.

The pieces of this exceptional vintage George VI silver flatware service for 12 persons have been crafted in the Plain Pine pattern. The plain tapering handle of each piece is embellished with Art Deco style geometric panelled decoration with a stepped-down top. The posterior surface of each handle is ornamented with a triangular panel to the terminal. The original sterling silver forks have three tines/prongs; this is a fine feature of the service.
