A magnificent Antique Charles II Lidded Tankard with a traditional straight sided tapered body. The Tankard has an large engraved armorial opposite a substantial scroll handle. The 17th century Tankard has a flat hinged lid with a curved thumb piece.
Made in London, England in 1672 by IG (Possibly John Gibbs)
