An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique Edwardian English sterling silver salt and pepper shakers modelled in the form of shotgun casings; an addition to our collectable silver collection
These exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver salt and pepper shakers have been realistically modelled in the form of shotgun casings.
These Edwardian salt and pepper shakers are embellished with bands of tooled decoration, replicating the details of the cylindrical cartridges case.
Each piece retains the original, hallmarked push fit cover/stopper to the underside.
The upper plateau of each piece bears the corresponding pierced 'salt' and 'pepper' holes.
Condition
These antique Edwardian silver salt and pepper shakers are a very good gauge of silver for their type, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
Each piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each shaker and part hallmarks to the covers are all very clear.

The surface of each pepper is plain and the lower portion is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting out of a ducal coronet a horse's head*. These exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver condiment set consists of a salt Shaker, a pepper Shaker and two spoons. The pieces of this silver and enamel salt and pepper set have been realistically modelled in the form of soft boiled eggs in egg cups. Each condiment Shaker is ornamented with an enamel eggshell design with the top portion 'cracked' away to reveal the pierced salt and pepper holes; the upper portion of the pepper retains the original gilding.
